Message:
The mercies of God know no bounds. His Mercy locates a man wherever he is and at any time. All that God does is full of His mercy towards mankind. He is super rich in mercy. Our key verse today declares that all the paths of the Lord are mercy and truth. He is unlimited; that is why He can reach out to a man wherever he is. Even in the darkest tunnel, He locates a man there.

A sister was traveling to a nearby village to buy foodstuff for sale few years ago. She entered a vehicle, but unknown to her, the other people she thought were fellow passengers were all ritualist. She tried preaching to them but they hushed her. She
Said she continued praying silently for the mercy of God and suddenly the presence of God came down. The same people that were so harsh and mean’ became unusually friendly even calling her mummy. She was taken to a building in a thick forest but before they opened the car door, she called the one that appeared like the leader and asked him, “My son, look at me, you have been calling me ‘ Mummy’ for some time now. If I am your real mum will you bring me here to be slaughtered like an animal?”. The man was quiet for some time. Then, he started the engine, drove close to the road and dropped her without saying a word, The mercy of God located her right there in that forest and in time, too.

The mercy of God moved Jesus to locate Blind Bartimaeus where he was. Mercy moved to Jericho, so on His way, the candidate of His Mercy was located. He received his sight and followed Jesus on his way glorifying God.

Are you in the dungeon, the type Jeremiah was thrown into? Or, are you thrown into a lion’s den like Daniel? If mercy located those prophets of God including that sister, don’t kill yourself. The mercy of God will locate you concerning that issue today whatever you may be.

CONTROLLING THOUGHTS :
God’s mercy will compel heaven to locate you.

PRAYER:
Oh Lord, locate me with your mercy today. Amen.

CAN YOU DEAL WITH YOUR “SELF”❓

Massage:
The human nature is naturally selfish. It is the most among creatures. A man naturally will want every good things to himself before others. But the life of a child of God should be different. Like the master, our Lord Jesus Christ, who laid down His precious life, every child of God should be able to put to put his ‘Self” after others. It means, according to our key verse today, that  the person will have to deny himself a lot to please others and the master. This may involve letting go what others hold so tenaciously, what others call enjoyment, way of success, adorable, etc. He will go for those things that will glorify his Maker.

The man Zacchaeus in  our main text today, is a wealthy man. He was a good example of who is able to deny himself of the ‘Self’ in him to be able to walk with the Master. He says, Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor;  and if I have taken anything from any man by false accusation, I restore him fourfold; By this Zacchaeus means to get go every wealth he acquired through fraudulent means. This may means losing so much of his wealth, but that did not mean much to him anymore. He wanted to deal with his excessive greed and materialism. He realized his lost state. He did not want to lose the previous opportunity at his disposal; he could not let it pass by, even if it meant losing a chunk part of his wealth.

Salvation and a walk with God is much important than every wealth in the world put together. The one person that can limit you is ” You” your “Self” . Can you, today like brother Zacchaeus, tame your “Self”? If you are heaven bound, yourself, greedy, proud, adulterous, lustful, quarrelsome ” Self” must be dealt with and the time is now. Being to Him about them all now. He is right here

CONTROLLING THOUGHTS :
The “Self” in you must for salvation to take over.

PRAYER:
I know it is not easy to deal with my “Self”  but give me the grace, oh Lord to do it for heaven’s sake Amen

IS IT WISE TO DIE LIKE A FOOL❓

Message:
The Bible admonishes Christians to be cautious and wise, so as not to fall prey to the innumerable traps of the wicked and the devil on heavenly journey. In the above text, David lamented over the death of Abner because the scripture has provided a remedy for all who killed in self-defense. If the murderer runs into a City of Refuge and remains, he is safe. If the person comes out, anything that happens to him is of his making. He did not take advantage of God’s provision for his security. Abner knew that quite well. He flouted the guideline as he killed Asahel, Joab’s brother. Abner actually, died as a fool (Num. 35 : 6).

Many Christians today know God’s provisions in the Bible on several issues. We are found wanting at the point of putting them to action. We know sanitary rules but fail altogether to observe them. We teach about security and defense procedures but take them for granted. We seek medical advice and medications yet fail to live true to prescriptions. We get information on appropriate feeding formulate, we simply dismiss it as a joke. We are counseled on addictions but wave them aside as normative. These are examples of knowing but not doing. They are cousins to dying as a fool.

We must not forget about, a Minister with RCCG in Abuja, who committed suicide as a result of accommodation problem on Tuesday, May 14, 2019. Michael Arowosaiye was his name. For an unbeliever to attempt suicide is not tasteful by any standard, but a Minister to take his own life is an inconceivable foolishness. Although there may be more to it than meets the eye. No matter the problem calling for attention, it will expire eventually; suicide is not an option at all. Do not die like a fool. God is still on the throne.

Wisdom is the principal thing for a successful life; get wisdom.

PRAYER:
Lord, grant me wisdom and understanding in all my life endeavours.

MATTHEW 25:14-30

MESSAGE:

God has given and put in everyone all that they require to fulfill their destiny in life. There is none that is barren. What we do or fail to do in our various lives is our personal choices not God’s. The three employees were given talents, as the passage relates, according to the proven capacities of each person. The instruction was given them at the same time and place. The third employee hid his talent in the napkin of selfish ambition. He never used it for the benefit of the Master nor himself at all. He was in contemplation until time caught up with him. He was a loser.

LESSONS
📌Use what God has given you. God gave it to you so that you won’t be disturbing Him every moment.

📌Use your abilities and capacities to work to the best of your strength. God will come in with help at your wits end.

📌Thinkers rule the world not passive spectators. If you only pray and do
nothing you are abusing this divine privilege. Do something afterward.

📌 The mind is limitless, you only stop its scope. Most of the life’s inventions
and discoveries are products from people who overstretched the minds
beyond the ordinary folks, refused to give up on their efforts and later had results.

📌 Size does not define a man but the content. Show what is in you.

📌 If you only feed your body without feeding your mind, it is a waste of valuable resources. You are only adding to excretory products.

📌 Use every opportunity God has given you. The third employee was the net loser in the Christ’s parable. Don’t be like him.

Every grace that you require is available for you. Don’t hide it.

WHAT IS IN YOUR MIND❓

Message:
The Scripture above admonishes believers to be mindful of what they think. Every child of God by what Jesus did at the Cross of Calvary has been cleansed and sanctified for the Master’s use. However, quite a good number have not come to terms with this truth. Some of us still see ourselves as unworthy to be called God’s children and as earthworms who should not call the Holy Name of the Almighty. When we negatively programme our minds with such low-level philosophies, the interplay of these feeds will manifest in the dreams, speeches, reasoning and shape our total environment. The law of attraction states, “That which you constantly think, tends to happen, going to happen or rather will happen.”

Thoughts have power. By carefully working patiently and intelligently on his thoughts, man will recreate his life and transform his circumstance. The opposite is also applicable. Nurture your mind with great thoughts for no man can grow above his thoughts. You will soon become what you watch, read, listen to or enjoy thinking about.

A Chinese student in England, was ever thinking that he was not going to make it in his final degree examinations. He never remembered what his scores and general performances had been. Just after the last paper, he thought his fears had come true. He went to Magdalene Bridge and jumped into the river. Before any help could come he was drowned, a son of a Hong Kong Billionaire.

The irony was that when his result came out he made First Class Honours. It is only fear of the unknown that made him commit suicide. Everyone has a destiny and a purpose to fulfill on this earth. No one can take your place or destiny. It is only in your own hand.

CONTROLLING THOUGHT:
Balance your thoughts. Let it not be one-sided.

PRAYER:
Oh Lord, help me to nurture my mind with great thoughts for that is where my tomorrow is. Amen.
