DO YOU KNOW ❗IS JUST A MATTER OF TIME❓

Eccl. 9:10 – 13

Topic :
DO YOU KNOW❗IS JUST A MATTER OF TIME❓

Memory verse:
Ecclesiastes 3:11

Message:
The difference between a man who is high up in politics, business, ministry, etc, and the one who is down the line struggling might just be a matter of time, other variables notwithstanding. It’s a matter of time where you are now is not your destination. You might be passing through a dark tunnel of rejection, frustration, persecution, intimidation accusations, lack, sicknesses, deaths, etc, believe it’s a matter of time. There shall be light at the end of the tunnel, if you don’t give up. Be encouraged, never to give up!

It is as sure as heaven that you won’t remain in your present circumstances forever. God will soon bring you out of that ugly situation and to your promised Land. It’s your time and season to be favoured. God is about to pull you out of that situation. God is about to bring you out of that horrible experience.

God will pay your debts and settle your bills. You will come out of that mess with a message that would impact your generation. God is opening doors for you. People shall celebrate you. You will triumphantly overcome that temptation. Praise God, for He can do more than we ask or imagine.

“He makes everything beautiful in his time…” (Eccl. 3:11). The time to favour you has come. Joseph was in the prison for  two years, but one day one day he was brought to the palace and was made a Prime Minister of Egypt the same day. Modecai was a gate man for years, but with the turn of events, he was made second in command in a strange land . Even here in Nigeria Chief Olusegun Obasanjo became the Nigerian civilian president from prison. There are also many examples of this. It’s just a matter of time. Wait and don’t give up.

CONTROLLING THOUGHTS:
Be patient. God’s time is the best.

PRAYER:
Lord help me to wait for Your time and season. Amen.

ARE YOU NOT MORE THAN CONQUERORS ❓

DOUBLE DESTINY DAILY DEVOTIONAL

*TOPIC:*
ARE YOU NOT MORE THAN CONQUERORS❓

MEMORY VERSE:

“Is any among you afflicted? Let him pray. Is any merry? Let him sing psalms” (James 5:13).

TEXT
ROM. 8:35-39, JAMES 5:13

MESSAGE

In Romans, Paul gives the list of some excruciating experiences which followers of Christ will face in the world. They include trouble, hardship, persecution,
famine, nakedness, danger, sword and death. We can add unemployment, bereavement, barrenness, not being married, etc. One word for all these may
be tribulations, sponsored by Satan with the aim of weakening the faith of the child of God or separating him or her completely from Christ.

There is yet any true follower of Christ who has never been through tribulations, (Acts 14:22; Phil. 1:29) Psalm 34:17 says, *the righteous will have many troubles but from which the Lord will deliver him.* Paul was an amazing spiritual colossus, yet an angel of Satan buffeted him with a thorn in his flesh and to worsen matters, God denied him deliverance despite his intense prayers (2 Cor. 12:7-10). According to the Scripture, this thorn was to make him humble and God gave him sufficient grace to bear it.

Although a Child of God will cry in tribulation and some people laugh at him or her and give misleading interpretations, God will always give them sufficient grace, comfort and beautiful testimonies at the end. The Bible says we should be patient in triburation, (Rom. 12:10), rejoice in tribulation, (Rom 5:3), endure hardship (2Tim. 2:3), pray when in trouble (James 5:13). Second Corinthians 4 tells us of the indescribable glory that awaits us if we don’t lose heart in tribulations. Therefore, as Apostle Paul testifies, we shall emerge triumphant, Stronger in faith, in every tribulation in the name of Jesus. Our love for the LORD will not be diminished by hardship. Let us not laugh at those who are in affliction as though it is because of their sins, lack of faith or poor prayer Iife. Isaac, the covenant child of Abraham had a decent marriage yet was, barren for 20 years (Genesis 25). No matter what you are going through, you are more than conquerors.

CONTROLLING THOUGHTS

Believers are more than conquerors.

PRAYER

May i see my victory, even in times of trouble in Jesus’ name, Amen.

ARE YOU STILL MURMURING ❓

DOUBLE DESTINY DAILY DEVOTIONAL

Monday 13 July 2020

Text:
Exodus 16:2, 17:1-4

TOPIC:
ARE YOU STILL MURMURING❓

MEMORY VERSE:
Phil. 1:14

Message:
One of the major things a Christian should avoid is murmuring. It is extremely dangerous to murmur. From the text we read, the Israelites murmured against Moses and God when they had no water and food to eat in the wilderness, they were remembering the fish, cucumbers and onions they ate in Egypt.

Today, many things cause children of God to murmur including: the unbecoming attitude of some leaders, administrative inefficiency, delayed promises and deferred expectations. But whatever the reasons might be, we must learn to overcome the temptation to murmur. We should avoid murmuring because it angers God (Numb. 11:1). God may take you at your word as your word as you murmur. Murmuring causes others to murmur. Murmuring is infectious(Num. 11:5).

How to overcome it is by being grateful to God. Keep praising Him, knowing that victory will come. Apply the word of God in every situation of life. Remember, there are people praying to be like you right now.

Murmuring is sin against God. It drives away the Holy Spirit and makes us think that God hates us. Rather than giving your life to murmuring, show gratitude to God and count your blessings. It will surprise you what God has done. Maintain a life of praise and worship. God will make all things to be for your good.

CONTROLLING THOUGHT:
Complaining doesn’t solve problems, it attracts them.

PRAYER:
Oh Lord, help me not to live a life of ingratitude Amen.

HAVE YOU DISCOVERED YOUR PURPOSE FOR LIVING ❓

DOUBLE DESTINY DAILY DEVOTIONAL.

Saturday 11th JULY, 2020

Text:
Genesis 37:1 -11

Topic:
HAVE YOU DISCOVERED YOUR PURPOSE FOR LIVING❓

Memory verse:
Ecclesiastes 3:1

Message:
There is a purpose to everything under heaven. God is a God of purpose and every human being on earth has a purpose for living. Have you discovered your Own purpose for living???? The narration of Joseph’s dreams could be regarded as local and impossible. The first dream was in a farm and the second one had to do with celestial bodies. However, Joseph discovered and fulfilled his purpose.
When your purpose is not known, the abuse of existence becomes inevitable and when existence is abused, you lose relevance. According to Frank Sonnenberg an English American Writer, there are threads that bind a life with purpose.

Firstly📌, live by your beliefs and values. Core beliefs and values influence your decisions and determine your short and long term priorities.

Secondly,📌 set priorities.  Identify activities that matters most to you and spend our lives.

Thirdly,📌 follow your passion. Put your heart into everything you do. Pursue your dream with fervor. Dream as if you will live forever and live as if you will die today.

Fourthly,📌 achieve balance and maximize your potentials. Put your heart into your career and into building relationships with friends and family.

Fifthly,📌 feel content. Have an inner peace. Be satisfied with who you are and what you have. The grass is greener on your own side of the fence.

Sixthly,📌 with a difference. Make a meaningful difference in someone else’s life. “A candle loses nothing by lighting another candle.”

Lastly📌 but not the least, live in the moment. Cherish every moment and seek to live life without regret.

No matter the challenges that you have in life, be encouraged that the Lord will help you to fulfill your purpose in life. Just lean on Him and the season of fulfilment will certainly come… IAM expecting to hear AMEN from you…

CONTROLLINGTHOUGHTS:
Live a purposeful life.

PRAYER:
Lord, help me know and fulfill my purpose for living. Amen.

CAN YOU INFLUENCE OTHERS❓

DOUBLE DESTINY DAILY DEVOTIONAL

Friday 10 July 2020

Text:
PHIL. 3:12- 18

TOPIC:
CAN YOU INFLUENCE OTHERS❓

MEMORY VERSES:
PHIL. 3:17

Message:
Today, we shall start the devotional with a story… Throughout her days at the Abia State University.
Chiamaka was exceptional and outstanding. She lived a very simple life style contrary to her sophisticated life style before she got born again. At a point, her friends started looking like her, both in speech and appearance. People could easily identify her and her friends because they dressed differently from others. A remarkable change in the life of a believer can attract others to live like the believer.

From the text we read, Paul the great man of God is our model. Paul, as we know before his conversion, was a Doctor of Law, a member of the Sanderin, a great persecutor of believers and a member of the ruling class. He was no mean man in his time. But when he met Christ, his life changed from what he was notoriously known for “persecutor of believers” to “an example of a believer”.

Having reminded us of the need to persevere in our walk with God, he challenge believers to join others in following his example. This piece of advice is very important to believers today because many are dangerously drifting away from God’s standard. If a man of these vast pedigree will later serve God with devotion and whole hearted commitment, you can as well. He had a focus and his focus was heaven. Has Christ in any way remarkably changed your life attainments? How do you influence people for the Kingdom of God? Can you boldly say to people follow my steps? Can people access your devotion to God and choose to follow you? Please, live a life that will influence others positively

CONTROLLING THOUGHTS:
You will never influence the world by trying to look like it. Stay Godly.

PRAYER:
Oh Lord, to be like Jesus is all I want, give me the grace. Amen.
