Message:
Many children today, even in Christian families, see disobedience as a way of life. They refer to their parents as “old school” and so see their pieces of advice and guidance as obsolete. But the message today is to draw Christian children back to the Bible and their senses. God has set a standard for children in every family, He knows that the family cannot be completely harmonious if the children are not properly guided.
The Bible demands that children honour their father and mother. In the commandment of God, given through Moses, this is the first commandment with a promise. This means that for any child to do well in life and live long and in good health, the child must be obedient and honour parents. This indisputable condition for the well-being of every child is not limited to any nation.
The word of God is the same everywhere. No nation’s constitution can change it. Excessive children liberty practised in many places and by many families is causing families and the world great harm.
As you reflect on this message today, any child, your society, nation or age notwithstanding, of you are desirous of spending eternity with your Maker, begin to think about your life. Have you been honouring your parents? Do you heed their instructions?
Repent before God today and apologize to your parents. Ask God to help you in this service.
