CAN YOU AVOID SHORTCUT TO SUCCESS❓

Memory verse:
2 Samuel 18:23

Message:
Success has come to mean a lot of things to a lot of people. Some see it from the perspective of Material and Title acquisitions, while others view it from the angle of the level of influence one is able to wield. In the midst of lots of opinions about success notwithstanding, there is the need to put into consideration the pathway of which success was achieved. Also, it is important to note that success is about one’s ability to stick to the particular commission or mandate which the owner of life gave to the person at the outset of life. Success
about faithfulness; hence, it has a lot to do with the way it was achieved.

Ahimaaz, in the scriptural passage, pressurised Joab to give him the opportunity to deliver the news concerning Absalom’s fate to King David. And between the place of warfare and where David was, is a very horrendous and mountainous route. However, the Bible remarks that he took the less demanding way; the shortcut, the easy way to reach his destination. The question is which way did you follow to your destination? What route are you taking to achieve your expectations? Some follow the route of promiscuity, cheating, fraudulent action, deceit, character assassination to achieve their so called success. The position you are occupying today, how did you get there?

The godly road to success demands the fear of God, patience, perseverance, humility, divine guidance etc. Any shortcut to success will always lead you to a wasted future and venture because the master will not approve it. Enduring success story always has a long road. The way of purposeful planning, prudence, diligence and persistence promises to be God glorifying and more rewarding.

CONTROLLING THOUGHTS:
In the highway to godly success, the end will never justify the means; the means is a very important determinant to the genuine nature of the success.

PRAYER:
Lord, help me not to be faster than you.

BIBLE READING FOR THE YEAR:
