Topic:: ARE YOU OBEYING DIVINE GUIDANCE❓
Text: Luke 2:41-44
Memory verse
Luke 2:43 -44
Message:
Joseph and Marry took seriously every instruction they received about the child Jesus. At one time, they had taken refuge in Egypt, all in obedience to divine instruction. In fact, every step they took was based on divine instruction. They didn’t just live anyhow. But it could be, as the years rolled by, they loosened up their sensitivity to divine guidance. Perhaps this explains why none of them knew that the child Jesus tarried in Jerusalem, but supposed he went home with some other people.
For a consistent quality relationship with God, it is very important that we remain sensitive to divine guidance. Regardless of our attainments in God, we should never come to the point of taking spiritual issues for granted, or to just ” COPY and PASTE” whatever we see other people do, without really being certain whether or not such “things” are approved by God. Instead, just like Joseph and Mary did at the earlier days of their walk with God , every decision and every step we take should be birthed through prayer and specific divine counsel – and not merely guided by our previous experiences or by what we just heard or saw other people do.
The Christian Life is neither a gamble nor is it designed to be guided by conviction or mindset of somebody we fancy. We must never allow our eyes to wander off God. At each time, we must seek to be certain were we are with God , instead of wasting precious times and treasures chasing shadows.
CONTROLLING THOUGHTS:
We must never allow our eyes to wander off God. At each time, we must seek to be certain were we are with God
PRAYER:
Lord, today, I commit to make certain that every step I take is ordained by you.
BIBLE READING FOR THE YEAR :
Nehemiah 10-11; Luke 20;27-47.
