DO YOU KNOW ❗IT WILL SURELY END IN PRAISE❓

Memory verse:
Psalms 126:3, Proverbs 23:18

Message:
Jerusalem was a city once known for her strong security and impregnability during the Bible days. The inhabitants never believed that a day shall come when their city will be conquered. However, it happened. Jerusalem fell woefully into the hands of the enemy and was conquered. Eventually, the Lord redeemed it, to His glory.

What are you passing through in life? There might be things that have happened in your life you never believed they could happen. You never envisaged those bad events that have terribly affected you. You never thought you will find yourself in the situations you are in right now. Yet they happened. Cheer up! These are just the realities of life.

Unfortunately, some Christians believe that coming to Christ means a trouble free -life. Brethren, we didn’t come to Christ so that we won’t have troubles. However, one thing is sure, troubles won’t have us because we have Christ. We are already Christ’s property and thus troubles will not over whelm us.

God has not promised us smooth voyage but safe landing. The presence of Christ in the boat doesn’t mean there won’t be storms of life. However, he will take you safely ashore.

What you are going through right now will end up in praise and uncommon testimonies. Child of God, no matter what is happening right now in your life, despite the report and what the devil is saying, be assured that what you are going through right now will not kill you. Gear up. Keep living a righteous life, keep serving Jesus and your miracle will surely come. Everything will end in praise!

NB: Proverbs 23:18 says surely It must come to an END, and the expectations of the RIGHTEOUS will not be cut off

CONTROLLING THOUGHT:
God will deliver us from our troubles.

PRAYER:
Lord help me to hold on to you until the storm is over. Amen.

DO YOU KNOW ❗MOST TROUBLES ARE DIVINE CONNECTED ❓

Jonah 1

TOPIC:
DO YOU KNOW ❗ MOST TROUBLES ARE DIVINE CONNECTED❓

MEMORY VERSE:
Jonah 1:4

Message:
Not every trouble we go through in life is demonic or satanic as most people believe. We have a good God that loves to give good gifts to His people. But sometimes, He allows some level of troubles come our way to help navigate our way to our appointed place in destiny or perhaps to bring us back to divine order.

From our opening scripture, we see Jonah running away from divine assignment. The Bible declares that the Lord sent out a great wind into the sea and there was mighty tempest, speaking of God’s sovereignty over His creation. Child of God, running away from divine Instructions or Responsibility Attracts Troubles. We are too quick to allege every trouble we face as satanic. Ask yourself today: what I am going through is it truly satanic in origin or divinely allowed? Zacharias was made dumb because he tried to distort divine program through his doubt (Luke 1:18-20). Thus we attract divine troubles when we try to distort divine program.

Sometimes too, the troubles we go through are not because we have done any bad or that we are out of God’s Will, rather they are necessary bends, valleys and hill tops we must go through in order to be thoroughly prepared for the assignment God has for us. In that case God protects and provides us with the comforts with which we shall comfort others. Whichever is your present experience, please be assured that God does not act wickedly.

CONTROLLING THOUGHT:
Our momentary troubles serve to lead us back on track or prepare us for the future.

PRAYER:
Father, grant me the grace to come out of my troubles with testimonies. Amen.

DO YOU HAVE A SPIRITUAL TRACK RECORD ❓

DOUBLE DESTINY DAILY DEVOTIONAL

Text:
1Samuel 17:31-37

TOPIC:
DO YOU HAVE A SPIRITUAL TRACK RECORD❓

MEMORY VERSE:
1 Samuel 17:33

Message:
A track record is a detailed account of one’s dealings in a particular sphere of life. It is clear documented history of a person’s life. A spiritual tract record will therefore imply a compendium of one’s impact and contributions in matters relating to life beyond this realm. Most people want to enter into realms of the miraculous yet they do not have a track record of consistent prayer life, discipline, diligence, holy living, faithfulness, studying of the word, submission and the likes.

The truth remains that GREATNESS can never happen to a man who ignores the power of track records. As a CHILD of God, anointing is not the only prerequisite for people to believe in you, someone in your history must be able to testify of the hand of God upon your life that has been sustained. People’s loyalty to you is not just because of the power or influence you command but the evidence of track records in your life working regularly. This also applies in other spheres of life. With power of track records, even with your failures, you will still succeed. People can easily trust you when you have a track record.

When David appeared before King Saul, he said to David, Goliath has a track record of being a warrior from his youth. David immediately reminded Saul about his own track records of killing both a bear and a lion and posited that Goliath will be like one of them. Track records create confidence and boost morale.

The question today is: do you have a spiritual track record?
Can people draw strength from the account of your dealings with God?
Do you have Spiritual Encounters that will serve as object lessons for the next generation?
If another Bible were to be written in your generation, what will be said about you?
The time to make impact is now.

CONTROLLING THOUGHT:
Positive track records create room for credibility and commendation.

PRAYER:
Father, help me to maintain worthwhile track records. Amen.

DO YOU KNOW❗ GOD HAS PLANS FOR YOU ❓

DOUBLE DESTINY DAILY DEVOTIONAL.

Jeremiah 29:10-14

Topic:
DO YOU KNOW ❗GOD HAS PLANS FOR YOU❓

Memory verse:
Jeremiah 29:11

Message
Beloved, God has plans for you, great plans. It does not matter what tough situations you are currently going through, GOD has great plans for your life. Please, bring yourself to his conviction this morning. God has completely fashioned out your life for the very best.

If we Juxtapose our key verse above with the situation of the Israelites at the time, everything would simply not make sense. Israel was to be taken into captivity for seventy years. They were to be exiles and slaves at far away Babylon. Yet, God was telling them, “I know the plans I have for you…” despite all that. At no time has the Lord promised His people problem – free – life. Rather, He has assured that when they “Walk through the fire, He would be there with them!”

Please stop worrying over your current ugly situations! GOD is telling you that He has “Plans for welfare (good things) not for calamity to give you a future and a hope.” Whatever the problem is, however bad it appears, God stll has a better plan. He cannot ignore you to perish there. He is planning something good and marvelous for you. Rest assured, there is a great future ahead of you Hope for the best. Expect the best! For, there is no wickedness in God!

CONTROLLING THOUGHT:
GOD has great plans for your life.

PRAYER:
Father, help me to trust and understand that You have great plans for my life irrespective of whatever I am passing through. Amen.

WHY NOT TAKE RESPONSIBILITY ❓

DOUBLE DESTINY DAILY DEVOTIONAL

Tuesday 21 July 2020

Text:
1 Samuel 15:7-16

TOPIC:
WHY NOT TAKE RESPONSIBILITY❓

MEMORY VERSE:
1Sam. 15:3

Message:
We live in times where and when people blame everyone else for what is happening in their lives. From the leaders to the led, parents to children, government to the masses, school teachers to the pupils, pastors to the congregations, and vice versa. Many people no longer take responsibility for their own actions or inactions.

When their plans turn out as planned, they are so happy to announce, “we made it” However, when things turn out not as planned, the language changes. We tend to blame everyone and everything but ourselves when we fail to meet up without responsibilities. We are more interested in passing the blame to other person.

In our text, God expressly told king Saul what to do. God said to him, “Go to Amalek and utterly destroy everything and everyone….” The instructions to Saul the leader was unequivocal and clear. But what did saul do? He spared Agag the king of Amalek. He spared some livestock so as to “sacrifice” unto the Lord. And when confronted, he quickly pointed accusing fingers at the people. He didn’t want to take responsibility. He failed in his duties as a leader. It takes humility to admit our mistake. King Saul is a type of some present leaders, who blame others for their own failures rather than accept and correct their mistakes.

Leaders, whether in the family,  church or society at general, should learn to accept responsibilities. Blaming people, witches and wizards for our failures will not do us any good. Let us learn from the mistakes of king Saul today not to allow ourselves to be pushed off the track on our assignments. Let us take responsibilities as leaders and guide our followers aright.

CONTROLLING THOUGHTS:
Trading blames does not bring profit, accepting responsibilities does.

PRAYER:
Lord, help me to accept my mistakes and take responsibility for my actions. Amen.
