WILL YOU GIVE UP TO CHALLENGES ❓

Memory verse:
Mathew 9:22

Message :
Life is full of challenges. Some people are sick. Some have family problems some are struggling with educational challenges. Some believers are struggling with Christian race. In fact, it seems that a whole lot of people are struggling with life’s challenges.

The text today focuses on the woman with the issue of blood for thirty – eight years, a disease which defied all kinds of medical and traditional help. She was abandoned by her loved ones and her condition actually got worse as the days went by. However, the woman refused to give up in finding a solution to  her predicament.

One day, she heard that Jesus, the Healer and saviour, was passing by and she against all odds, made her way through the crowd with undying faith that if she touched the Hem of Jesus garment, she will be healed. She refused to give up she pushed on until she achieved her healing. She did not sit back to lament over her condition or condemn herself as others did to her. She searched for an opportunity to be made whole. She found it and not allowing anybody or anything to stop her, she grabbed it.

Do not give up, no matter what you are going through. Tough times do not last but tough people do, No matter what you are going through , just hand them over to Jesus, and He will see you through. Keep living for Jesus and serving Him. You will soon testify of that miracle.

CONTROLLING THOUGHTS :
Don’t give up. Your miracle is already here.

PRAYER:
Oh Lord, give me the grace never to give up. Amen.

HOPE ❗YOU ARE IN GOD’S PLAN❓

HOPE❗ YOU ARE IN GOD’S PLAN❓

KEY VERSE:*
“But think on me when it shall be well with thee, and shew kindness, I pray thee.
Unto me, and make mention of me unto Pharaoh, and bring me out of this house”
(Genesis 40:14).

TEXT
Genesis 41:9-12, 34-40

MESSAGE

God has a plan for His own. His plans have already been established right from the foundations of the earth. Every child of God needs to know this and not fret. God is the architect of your destiny and whatever He has planned concerning you will surely come to fruition. Our text today is derived from the Bible after a series of unpleasant events. Joseph, who had been sold by his brothers to the Midianite traders on their way to Egypt, eventually found himself in prison, after he was falsely accused by Potiphar’s wife of wanting to commit adultery with her. However, Joseph still remained in God’s plans.

God had better plans for Joseph even when he was in prison. Both Pharaoh’s butler and cupbearer also in prison, had dreams which no other person could interpret. Eventually, Joseph, who noticed their sad countenances, interpreted their dreams and it marked the beginning of his journey to becoming the Prime Minister of Egypt, the beginning of the unfolding of God’s plan for his life.

Have you ever wondered about the plans of God in your life? Don’t worry, just trust God. His plans for you are good. Remember the Scripture says that He knows the thoughts that he has towards you, thoughts of good and not of evil, to bring you to an expected end (Jer. 29:11). Let nothing move you out of God’s
plan for your life.

CONTROLLING THOUGHTS

The plans of God towards His own are good.

PRAYER

My Lord, may your plans for me come to pass. in Jesus Name. Amen.

DO YOU KNOW ❗ YOU CAN STILL GUARD YOUR EYES ❓

Text:
Psalm 119:30-40

TOPIC:
DO YOU KNOW❗YOU CAN STILL GUARD YOUR EYES❓

Memory Verse:
Psalm 119:37

MESSAGES
The above prayer by David, the sweet Psalmist of Israel is worth our attention. It speaks volumes concerning a very disheartening experience he had, the last time his eyes were unguarded.

One evening, as he was loitering about, his eyes saw what he never intended to see, it lead him to his worst night mare. He went into another man’s wife, Uriah’s wife. One sin led to another and eventually, he ended up as an unfaithful husband and a murderer. Worst still, he was told that because of that infamous act “the sword shall not depart from your house forever” (2 Sam. 12:10)

Recalling those ugly pictures, king David not wanting a repeat of such moral failure prayed, Turn away my eyes from looking at worthless things…. “Worthless things in our case will include pornography, horoscopy, monies offered in bribery, leaked examination script, etc. It could be for the same reason that Job had to cut a covenant. Hear him , “I have made a covenant with my eyes that I will not look lustfully upon a maid” (Job 31-1)

Unfortunately, we live in a world today where we are daily bombarded with disgusting and morally weakening pictures from the media industry. And if we are careless about it, chances are high that it will affect our psyche and can lead us into some ungodly addictions. Let us therefore join the saints of old to pray that prayer and learn to fix our eyes only on God glorifying things.

CONTROLLING THOUGHTS:
Unguarded eyes betray the heart.

PRAYER:
Lord, turn away my eyes from looking at worthless things today.

ARE YOU READY TO GROW UP❓

ARE YOU READY TO GROW UP❓

Memory verse:
1 COR.13:11

Message :
sometimes in life, what we are, where we are, what we have, play a very big role in our relationship and walk with God and also serves as a pointer to what God will want to do with us. Many times, before God will do anything with us, He weighs us on a scale, not by age but by our spiritual maturity to know if we are fit for the task or not. We really need to grow up. Until we come out of the childish concept that we are still young, it is not long we started coming to this church, it is not yet time we join any department in the church etc, growth will be very far from us. And we need to show signs of maturity to be fit for God’s use.

You are the Jeremiah of your generation, the time God wants to use you is now, the time for your destiny to play out is now, but the problem is you. You still possess a childish character. You need to grow up. Growth is constant, but if your prayers life,  your activities towards the things of God, the way you study the Bible, is not growing at all, you cannot grow spiritually. According to one of our texts today, Apostle Paul said, “…. but when I became a man, I put away childish things”. Do not remain a child. Children always creep on the floor or ground but adults March on it.

If you can put away childish life and grow up spiritually, character- wise and the way you think, you will see that everything about you will surely grow along too.

CONTROLLING THOUGHTS :
Growth is inevitable in life, if you see the need, you will surely see the growth.

PRAYER:
Ask God to give you the grace to grow in life, and not to remain as a child.

DO YOU KNOW THAT BELIEVER ARE BLESSED ❓

DOUBLE DESTINY DAILY DEVOTIONAL

*TOPIC:*
*DO YOU KNOW THAT BELIEVERS ARE BLESSED*❓

KEY VERSE:*
“How we praise God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ who has blessed us with every blessing in heaven because we belong to Christ” {Ephesians 1:3, TLB).

*TEXT**
EPHESIANS 1:3-14

*MESSAGE**
When you become a follower of Christ, not only do you receive eternal life, but
you are blessed with spiritual blessings. Scripture tells us that we are blessed with every blessing in heaven. What are the spiritual blessings of heaven?
Peace, joy, favor, abundance, grace, and so much more. As believers in Christ,
we are blessed with earthly talents, and as well as spiritual blessings.

God has given us talents, fulfillment, favor and abundance. You are blessed when you come in and blessed when you go out. You are blessed with
confidence and assurance that your God is who He says He is. You are kept safe and secure in the hands of Almighty God. Think about all of the blessings that God has given you and thank Him for them today!

Don’t agree with anybody who tells you that you are not good enough to enjoy God’s blessings. God has you in mind when He blesses. Here’s God’s promise to you: “The Lord shall open unto thee his good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in his season, and to bless all the work of thine hand: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow” (Deut. 28:12).

*CONTROLLING THOUGHTS**
Your spiritual blessings in the heavenly realm is sufficient to cater for all your earthly needs.

*PRAYER*
I know that you have richly blessed me, and I thank you! Help me to seek your favor and live abundantly in your love in Jesus’ name. Amen.
